'B' shape lamps. Look incandescent Warm colour to lamps Fixture very decorative Fixture reflects the warm glow of the lamps The application of this particular light is more for the visual appeal rather than specific lighting. It would add to the general illumination of the store, but is more to attract you up to the second floor and to creating some visual stimulus. |
These fluorescents are located at the rear of the shop in the store room. Not the most attractive but as it's a store room the fixture doesn't need to be that great. As they're out of sight it's a good opportunity to save on running costs. The lamp itself is completely exposed. Very bright, almost too hard to look directly at. Perhaps should have something to cover the lamp. Very white in colour - covers the room with a harsh light. Not all areas are lit evenly - some real areas of shadow are visible in the storeroom. |
I think the idea behind this lighting is a good one but the way it's been executed isn't that great. The exposed fluorescent lamps are way too harsh for the space. I think uplighting the features of the ceiling is gorgeous but better done with a different lamp and fixture. Continuous hidden cove lighting? |
Pendent lights. Contain incandescent lamps. Add to general illumination. Also give more illumination to items below them. |
Example of lighting in signage. Small incandescent lamps. |
